Club Enerji, Tata Power's nationwide movement, has always been a frontrunner in committing to achieve a sustainable society by spreading awareness on conservation of energy. Following on this commitment, Tata Power’s Club Enerji organised a sensitisation program during Navratri festival for the citizens of Ahmedabad on conservation of energy, resources to instill civic & moral values. The program was conducted by 17 students from the society and sensitized approximately 400-500 residents of the society.
The program was organized on the day of Dussehra and was designed to be informative and engaging through multiple sessions on various subjects of energy, resource and civic and moral values conservation. Before the program, the students from the society worked together to create posters, banners, and placards with paintings depicting various ways to conserve resources. The content of the program was well appreciated by the Chairman & the committee members of the society.
Speaking on the initiative, Anil Sardana, Managing Director and CEO, Tata Power, commented, “We believe that spreading awareness about issues like these among the community will help and benefit our society as a whole. It is important that each citizen should realize the value of energy conservation especially during festivals. The objective of this program was to educate the citizens to use power energy more efficiently during Navratri, which is one of the most happening and popular festivals in Gujarat.
