Club Enerji, Tata Power's school outreach programme, has
been extremely successful in sensitizing children at the school level and the public, on the ethos
and importance of energy conservation. The school level campaign has been instrumental in
instilling the moral values of conservation of energy and the greener and better world for the
future generation. Following on this philosophy, Tata Power Club Enerji, today, organized a
massive rally along with students and teachers of Sharada Gyan Peeth International School,
Malad East, as well as Children's Academy (ICSE), Malad East; Children's Academy (SSC),
Malad East; and Universal High School, Malad East.
The rally witnessed the participation of close to 250 students, 25 teachers and staff; and impacted
close to 1500 people. The rally themed on energy conservation, was well appreciated by the
locals, and was successful in spreading awareness on the need for energy conservation and
highlighted various ways to conserve it. The students along with the teachers had also displayed
banners, placards and posters bearing message on energy conservation.

equivalent to saving 17,200 tonne of CO2 for a year. Tata Power’s Club Enerji has won numerous
accolades and has been recognised as a best practice in forums like Learning Mission by the
Tata group. A case study has also been done by IIM Ahmedabad on the programme. Further, it
has also won the gold at the ABCI awards in the category ‘best communication material’ and
bronze for its resource conservation module. Also, Asia Pacific Enterprise Leadership Awards,
Singapore, has conferred ‘APELA 2012 - Eco Advocate Award' to Club Enerji.

Tata Power started its school outreach programme, "Tata Power Energy Club" in 2007.
