Tata Power Club Enerji organises awareness rally on resources conservation in Mumbai Mar 21, 2018

Club Enerji, Tata Power's nationwide energy and resources conservation movement, has been constantly working with children towards spreading the message of being responsible citizens by saving electricity, natural resources, and promoting better societal habits across the country. In line with this commitment, Tata Power's Club Enerji students from Patuck Technical School accompanied by their teachers undertook a major awareness rally in Vakola, Santacruz East. Based on the theme of resource conservation, the rally witnessed participation of more than 100 students. The students also performed skit creating awareness about the need to save electricity, water and natural resources.

The objective of the initiative was to reach out to the masses with a vision to inculcate strong civic & moral values, enunciate the qualities of an ideal citizen, and create awareness about saving resources. More than 1000 people were sensitized during this rally.

Commenting on the initiative, Mr Ashok Sethi, COO & ED, Tata Power said, "At Tata Power, we are determined to strengthen our Club Enerji programme and reach out to larger audience and encourage them to become responsible citizens of tomorrow. This initiative is aimed at making people realize the importance of taking positive action on issues that affect their daily lives. It will engage them constructively with various guardians of society like their building societies, police, and municipal authorities in order to create a better environment. We offer our heart-felt gratitude to Patuck school, Mumbai, and everyone associated with this rally for their cooperation and willingness to participate.”

The Club Enerji programme has reached out to over 500 schools in India and has sensitized over 15 million citizens, who in turn have helped save more than 21 MUs of electricity till date. The club also has around 1500 self-sustaining mini-clubs.
