Club Enerji, a nation-wide movement by Tata Power, has been inexhaustibly working towards spreading the message of being responsible citizens by instilling civil and moral values of energy conservation across the nation. In line with their newly launched module on disaster management, Tata Power's Club Enerji students from Lok Puram Public School, Thane, organised an awareness session on the various 'Medical emergencies faced during disasters'.
The objective of this initiative was to educate a larger audience on the possible medical emergencies at times of crisis, and the different ways to tackle them. Along with Club Enerji students, more than 85 teachers from primary and secondary section of Lok Puram Public School, Thane ,Mumbai attended the session. The educative session used both thematic presentations as well live demonstrations to communicate the message to the audience.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Anil Sardana, MD and CEO, Tata Power, said, "At Tata Power, we do not believe Club Enerji to simply be a project or a cause, we think of it as movement that will help us shape the minds of our younger generations to be sustainable individuals, capable of making wise decisions. The Club Enerji initiative has been contributing extensively towards a brighter and greener tomorrow by undertaking several successful initiatives. The savings of 17.26 MUs of electricity is equivalent to saving 17,200 tonne of CO2 for a year. Tata Power's Club Enerji has won numerous accolades and has been recognised as a best practice in forums like Learning Mission by the Tata group. A case study has also been done by IIM Ahmedabad on the programme. Further, it has also won the gold at the ABCI awards in the category 'best communication material' and bronze for its resource conservation module; Asia Pacific Enterprise Leadership Awards (APELA), Singapore, has conferred 'APELA 2012 - Eco Advocate Award' to Club Enerji.

Tata Power started its school outreach programme, "Tata Power Energy Club" in 2007. In 2009, Club Enerji took its next big leap, with the programme turning into a national movement, covering more than 500 schools across Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Belgaum, Jamshedpur and Lonavla and further attained a new milestone of achieving over one million citizens sensitisation and more than one million units energy savings.
