In the year 2009, the Tata Power Energy Club made its way into Bengalaru, reaching out to school and college children with its Primary Sensitization Drive.
Students and teachers were made aware of the energy crisis, the problems of power shortage and the ill effects of wasting power.
They were also encouraged to spread the energy conservation message, whilst adopting energy saving methods.
Schools such as St. Annes and Lourdes were targeted as part of the campaign that reached out to over 2,000 students.
